The funeral was on Wednesday at Praise and Worship Ministries, the Revs. Ricky Deese, Freddy Gibbs and Curtis Oxendine officiating. Burial followed in Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert “Clyde” Jones, and her parents, James “Dump” and Louise Locklear.
Mrs. Jones is survived by four sons, Eugene Jones of Red Springs, Frankie Jones of Rennert, Ellehue Jones of Shannon and Danniehue Jones of Lumberton; a daughter, Amy Jones of Shannon; three brothers, Roosevelt Locklear of Red Springs, and Beauford Locklear and Horace Locklear, both of Lumberton; six sisters, Gearldine Locklear of Rowland, Judy Locklear of Red Springs, Shirley Locklear, Dora F. Harrigon, Lucy Locklear, Paulette Locklear, all of Lumberton; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
