Dear Editor:

My name is Jason McRae and I stay at 208 Thurlow Street in Red Springs. I’m writing this letter to show my concern about the ambulance service that we have here in Red Springs. How come when we have an emergency on our side of town we have to wait on the EMS to come from Lumberton when we have an EMS service here in town? However, that’s not what I’m worried about. It’s the fact that the EMS service couldn’t find the house and this isn’t the first time. It took them 45 minutes for them to get to my mom’s house. Even the 911 operator had called them and told them they were at the wrong house and told them what was in the yard. And it still took them a while just to go next door which I didn’t like because if that was someone else’s mother, father, son or a family member, they would feel the same way that I feel.

I have a lot of family, friends, and people who I know and that know me. If that was one of them I would feel the same way would like to find out why it takes our EMS service so long to get to them, because they couldn’t find their house.

My question is why haven’t they been upgraded to GPS yet to help them find peoples’ houses?

Sincerely,

Jason McRae
